The Alliance wrapped up December and 2017 by donating $9,400 to charities on the strength of 54 Good Samaritan Bonus winners who selected 35 different charities to receive GSB checks.
In 2017, The Alliance donated $148,050 to more than 100 charities. A total of 151 agents won at least one GSB this year with the total number of GSB checks reaching 861 for the year. The Alliance donated almost three times more this year than in any previous year since the GSB started in 2013. The previous record was $50,000 in 2014.
Leading the pack in December were Mark Hutcheson, Marcus Richardson and Jazmin Lightbourn, who each earned $350 checks for Tabernacle Baptist Church, Tim Goad Ministries and Fleur Le Vie, respectively.
At the $300 GSB level, Marty Doggett (Shriners Hospitals for Children), Mark Biscoe, Sr. (Tim Goad Ministries) and Kim Spinelli-Young (Tim Goad Ministries) rounded out the top six agents in December.
Michael Owens, Trina Noel, Andrew Argenio, Jenny Patel and Cindy Tapia all earned $250 checks and supported Tim Goad Ministries, Port City Community Church, BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir and Pomerene Elementary School, respectively.
A total of 15 agents earned $200 checks and donated $3,000 to Tim Goad Ministries, Holly Grove Church, All Believers in Christ Church, Heartlight Ministries, Martin Paredes, Fight Ministries, Ruff Love, The Child Crisis Center of Arizona and City of San Angelo Animal Services.
At the $100 level, The Alliance had a dozen agents earn GSB checks and another 16 more earned $100 checks to round out this month's donations.
