Robert "Sarge" Wilson picked up his second GSB check and his first in 2014 in March based on six straight months of at least $20,000 in personal production. Wilson, who supported the Wounded Warriors Project with his first check, chose to give his latest $1,000 check to Tim Goad International.
Wilson said he chose Tim Goad's organization because he believes that Goad is doing God's work.
"When the GSB started, I wanted to help Wounded Warriors and I had to up my production to get to that level," Wilson said. "I prayed with Tim about it, and I said if I could help Wounded Warriors that I told God I would work hard to match that for Tim's ministry. I had to honor that promise because I told God I would do it if he helped me give to Wounded Warriors. You have to honor that promise and I was able to that."
Wilson, who lives in the Philadelphia area, started working with The Alliance in September of 2010. Wilson's goal is to keep pushing to earn at least two more GSB checks in 2014. Wilson believes strongly in giving back - particularly to those in the missionary field.
"I've always wanted to do some missionary form of giving back, and if I can't give my time I can give charitably. This was the perfect way for me to do that and help families and provide for my family."
Wilson and his wife, Mona want to visit India and serve on a mission trip in the future to help spread God's word.
